Research Dataset: Optimized Site Parameters Vs30 for Seismic Hazard Analysis in Japan (derived from J-SHIS)

This research tool provides a processed subset of the J-SHIS seismic hazard data (National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience, NIED). Developed during research at Kyoto University, this dataset is reformatted into a standalone SQLite container. It is specifically designed as a computational tool for high-performance spatial queries in seismic hazard and risk analysis and site effect modeling. Key Features: Source Data: Derived from J-SHIS Seismic Hazard Maps (Japan) Ver. 1.0 (2021-03-03). Data Content: Includes WGS84 coordinates (Lon/Lat), Average Shear-wave velocity (Vs30), and Site Amplification Factors (AF). Technical Optimization: High-performance spatial indexing for rapid coordinate-based lookups, optimized for Python and MATLAB workflows. Format: SQLite database (.sqlite), compatible with Python (Pandas, Sqlite3, SQLAlchemy), MATLAB, and GIS software. Research Modifications: This is a DERIVATIVE RESEARCH WORK. Original J-SHIS records have been filtered, WGS84 coordinates were assigned, some records removed, and the data structure was optimized for computational efficiency in site-response simulations.
