Expression analysis of RB1 region in bladder cancer cases. Homo sapiens

We investigated a sequence of genetic hits in the region of RB1 and identified alternative target genes referred to as forerunner (FR) genes whose silencing was associated with the development of the clonal plaque-like mucosal field effects initiating bladder carcinogenesis. Overall design: A study using total RNA from 10 bladder cancer cell lines, 22 fresh frozen samples of bladder tumors, 2 samples adjacent to tumors, 5 control samples from normal ureters, and 1 control normal urothelial cell line
