Iodine/DMF-Mediated Regioselective Sulfenylation Using Arenediazonium Tosylates and Sodium Metabisulfite: An Easy Access to 3‑Arylthioindoles

A practical C3 sulfenylation of indoles has been accomplished using arenediazonium tosylates and sodium metabisulfite, with a key role of iodine/DMF combination in the reaction. The method involves scarce use of sodium metabisulfite as a divalent sulfur source and offers an array of structurally diverse 3-arylthioindoles in high yields under operationally simple transition-metal-free and mild conditions.本研究成功实现了利用芳基叠氮化物硫酸酯和亚硫酸氢钠对吲哚进行的C3位硫代反应，其中碘/二甲基亚砜（DMF）的混合物在反应中发挥着至关重要的作用。该方法仅需少量亚硫酸氢钠作为二价硫源，并在操作简便、无需过渡金属和条件温和的条件下，提供了一系列结构多样、产率高的3-芳基硫代吲哚。
