Residential parking zones Wuppertal

The data set of the resident parking zones Wuppertal comprises the delimitations and designations of (status 05/2023) 52 area-modeled residential parking zones in the Wuppertal urban area managed by the Roads and Traffic Department. The resident parking zones are also referred to as “application zones”. Anyone who is officially registered in such a zone with a primary or secondary residence may apply for the issue of a resident parking card, which entitles to park in locally specially marked resident parking areas. The application can be submitted digitally via the service portal Wuppertal. The delimitations of the residential parking zones were designed for the first time in 08/2016 on the basis of the street and address area allocations in the public occupant parking zone list based on the ABK official base map. A thorough review and revision of the data was carried out in 03/2023. For each circumferential polygon of a residential park zone, the dataset also contains the two name components, the combination of which uniquely denotes such a zone, namely the ZONE (abbreviation of a maximum of 4 capital letters) and the NR (optional alphanumeric breakdown of the zone). The continuation of the dataset by the Roads and Traffic Department takes place irregularly, in each case after a change with regard to the resident parking zones. The digital continuation process is currently under construction. However, the Open Data record available in Shape, KML and GeoJSON format under an Open Data License (CC BY 4.0) is automatically updated in a fixed, weekly cycle.
