资源简介:
Marl prairies are a mosaic of marl wet prairie, sawgrass marsh, tree islands, and tropical hammocks. Short-hydroperiod wet prairie is dominated by muhly grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris), blue stem (Schizachyrium rhizomatum), black-top sedge (Schoenus nigricans), and sawgrass (Cladium jamaicense). Marl prairies, located in Everglades National Park (ENP) on both edges of Shark River Slough and in Taylor Slough basin, support a wide diversity of both flora and fauna. The marl prairie is also the only habitat where the critically endangered Cape Sable seaside sparrow (Ammodramus maritimus mirabilis) is found.
