MAVLink Message ID Sequence Dataset

This dataset consists of MAVLink message ID sequences collected from a UAV system operating in a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) simulation environment. Communication between the UAV and the Ground Control Station (GCS) was monitored, and only MAVLink protocol packets were filtered from the captured traffic. From each MAVLink packet, the message ID was extracted and stored as a sequence in NumPy array format.Normal samples were generated while the UAV executed waypoint missions without any interference. Attack samples were collected while active attacks were executed from an attacker\u2019s PC during UAV flight, ensuring that all attack-labeled sequences were captured specifically under adversarial conditions.This dataset supports research in UAV cybersecurity, MAVLink anomaly detection, sequence-based IDS modeling, and GAN-based augmentation, and accompanies the publication \u201cGUIDE: GAN-Based UAV IDS Enhancement\u201d (Computers & Security, 2024).
