Chinese wolfberry is a famous plant fruit which has three medicinal, edible and healthy values. Colletotrichum fioriniae causing Chinese wolfberry anthracnose is one of the causes of economic loss in Chinese wolfberry production. It is urgent and necessary to seek an effective and environmentally friendly control strategy to control Chinese wolfberry anthracnose. Bacillus velezensis F3A isolated from the rhizosphere of plants displayed significant inhibitory ability against C. fioriniae. The trait of significant biological control activity on Chinese wolfberry imply that B. velezensis F3A has the potential to be used as a biocontrol agent for Chinese wolfberry anthracnose management.
