This dataset mainly contains daily precipitation data from the Daxigou Meteorological Station during the period 1996 to 2005. Founded in June 1958, the Daxigou Meteorological Station is situated on the mountainside of Tian'erg Peak in Daxigou, Urumqi County (adjacent to the No.1 Glacier at the source of Urumqi River in the Tianshan Mountains), with an altitude of 3543.8 meters. It is a national Class I arduous meteorological station, primarily engaged in cloud and fog physics experiments and climate monitoring.
