3D-models of the Locker Rock in Lower Saxony — Langeoog (WMS Service)

Based on data from the drilling database Lower Saxony, a hydrogeological 3D model of the island of Langeoog was created at the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG). In total, the model in 7 geological units depicts the subsoil up to the quaternary base. The layer sequence includes old Pleistocene units, the deposits of the Elster, Saale and Vistula cold periods up to the most recent deposits of the Holocene, as well as deposits of the Eem warm-time. In addition, the freshwater lens below the island was modeled on the basis of electromagnetic data (HEM).
