该数据包括雅鲁藏布江、布拉马普特拉河以及恒河流域共72个河流砂样品的主量元素、微量元素、钕同位素和锶同位素地球化学数据,包括:雅鲁藏布江及其支流48个样品、布拉马普特拉河及其支流19个样品、以及恒河5个样品。主量元素包括全部72个样品的SiO2、Al2O3、Fe2O3等共10种元素氧化物数据,以百分比表示;微量元素包括30个样品的Li、Be、Sc等44种元素含量数据,以百万分比(ppm)表示;钕同位素包括26个样品的143Nd/144Nd数据及其误差值;锶同位素包括26个样品的87Sr/86Sr数据及其误差值。主量元素分析使用PANalytical Axios X射线荧光分析仪(XRF),采用溶片法进行测试,测试误差<3%;微量元素使用Thermo Fisher VG-X7电感耦合等离子质谱仪(ICP-MS),采用溶样法测试,测试误差<5%;钕和锶同位素测试采用Thermo Fisher NEPTUNE plus多接受电感耦合等离子质谱仪(MC-ICP-MS)测试, 相对国际标样测试值与参考值锶同位素的偏差<0.005%,钕同位素的偏差<0.004%。以上全部实验室测试分析均在同济大学海洋地质国家重点实验室完成。该数据对于认识青藏高原大型流域盆地构造活动、化学风化作用、河流沉积物从源到汇搬运过程、以及评估自然过程和人类活动相互关系都具有重要的科学意义和社会应用价值。
This dataset contains geochemical data of major elements, trace elements, neodymium isotopes and strontium isotopes from 72 fluvial sand samples collected from the Yarlung Zangbo River, Brahmaputra River and Ganges River basins. Of these samples, 48 were collected from the Yarlung Zangbo River and its tributaries, 19 from the Brahmaputra River and its tributaries, and 5 from the Ganges River.
For major elements, datasets of 10 oxide components including SiO₂, Al₂O₃, Fe₂O₃ and others are provided for all 72 samples, expressed in mass percentage. For trace elements, contents of 44 elements including Li, Be, Sc and others are provided for 30 samples, expressed in parts per million (ppm). For neodymium isotopes, ¹⁴³Nd/¹⁴⁴Nd ratios and their associated error values are provided for 26 samples; for strontium isotopes, ⁸⁷Sr/⁸⁶Sr ratios and their associated error values are provided for 26 samples.
Major elements were analyzed using a PANalytical Axios X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF) via the fusion pellet technique, with analytical errors below 3%; Trace elements were analyzed using a Thermo Fisher VG-X7 inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) via the sample dissolution method, with analytical errors below 5%; Neodymium and strontium isotopes were analyzed using a Thermo Fisher NEPTUNE plus multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS). The deviations between measured values and international standard reference values are less than 0.005% for strontium isotopes and less than 0.004% for neodymium isotopes.
All aforementioned laboratory analyses were completed at the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology, Tongji University.
This dataset possesses important scientific significance and social application value for investigating tectonic activities, chemical weathering, source-to-sink transportation processes of fluvial sediments in large-scale basins on the Tibetan Plateau, as well as evaluating the interactions between natural processes and human activities.
