Effects of pretreatments on the porcine fecal virome

Two pigs were followed at four timepoints: at 3, 8, 12 and 22 weeks of age. Then, four different pretreatment series (enzymes and filtrations) were tested on each sample and sequenced on a MiSeq platform. The aim of the study was to test whether the different pretreatment series had any effects on the diversity of the sequenced virome. The results will help to understand if there is a loss of virus with the pretreatments and adjust the series of pretreatments if necessary.
