The study aims at expanding current knowledge on the structure and diversity of genomes of the highly predominant human gut symbiont Faecalibacterium prausnitzii. Draft genomic sequencing was done for 9 fresh isolates and 2 strains from ATCC culture collection using Illumina Hiseq platform. For two strains PacBio II RS sequencing data was used to close the gaps and produce complete genome sequences.
