Prevalence and Crash Risk of Cognitive Distractions

Project Description This dataset supported a study of the prevalence and crash risks associated with cognitive distraction, as well as visual-manual distraction, using the SHRP 2 naturalistic driving data set. Various secondary tasks recorded in the SHRP 2 data set are likely to be associated with cognitive and visual-manual distraction and are included in this dataset. Data Request Scope The data include elements from the event detail table, the vehicle information and driver survey tables, and the time series data from all crashes, near-crashes, and baselines available on V1 of InSight. All participants with an available age group (and their vehicles) are included. Data Specification Please refer to the data dictionary file for details on the variables included in the dataset.
