Feeding ecology of anadromous key fish species in a large European estuary

This dataset contains information on stable isotopes (δ13C and δ15N) and stomach contents from different life stages of the smelt <em>Osmerus eperlanus </em>from the Elbe estuary. Our investigations revealed different food preferences along the river course, suggesting local food ecology characteristics of this key species.
