VPRS 5517 Duplicated Returns And Requisitions

The volume in this series contains duplicates of the returns and requisitions forwarded by the Police Magistrate, Port Phillip District to the officers of government in New South Wales. These include:- requisitions for articles for the Government Establishemnt at Port Phillip including clothing, tools and other necessary equipment- returns of Crown prisoners in Government Employ at Port Phillip- abstracts and acquittances of salaries and allowances of officers and persons employed at the Colonial Establishment at Port Phillip, including the names and positions of officers- return of persons to whom certificates had been granted for the keeping of public houses in the Town of Melbourne- return of prisoners and stock arriving at Port Phillip- the unfixed Contingent Abstract- the return of the Department of Police at Port Phillip; and- the estimate of the probable expense of the Department of Police at Melbourne.the volume also includes a list of the returns required for Sydney.
