The aim of this study is to investigate microbiome inside the egg capsule of cloudy catshark (Scyliorhinus torazame). We sampled contents inside the capsule from freshly laid eggs and dead eggs. Seawater and epithelia of the oviducal gland were also sampled. The V3-V4 region of 16S rRNA were then amplified and sequenced using total DNA extracted from these samples as templates.
