The Global Energy and Water Cycle Experiment (GEWEX) Continental-scale
International Project (GCIP) Integrated Systems Test (GIST) takes
place in the Arkansas-Red River basins as a data system test prior to
the start of the 5 year GCIP Enhanced Observing Period
(1995-2000). The Arkansas and Red River basins provide a number of
watershed areas that are potentionally useful for hydrologic focussed
studies. The GIST Data Set constitutes the third in a series of GCIP
Initial Data Sets (GIDS-3).
