Eclipses are one of the most famous astronomical events. On 22 August 1914, a partial solar eclipse was visible from Madrid. Staff of the Astronomical Observatory of Madrid took the opportunity to conduct pyrheliometer measurements to study the decrease in solar radiation during the event. They recorded the data in a paper-based observatory yearbook. Now, we make them available in electronic format.
