Lines of code and keywords: articles and patents on policosanol biorefine routes

To patents prospect was used the modality Advanced Search and IP Business Intelligence of Orbit^Ò seekers (version 1.9.8). The choice is justified because search 35 technology domains, as well as names of companies and technical concepts standard; inventor, representative, dates, country (precise positioning algorithms), legal status, mutual references, proper graphical interface. The harmonization of search code lines was from the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E or Web of Science - WoS) and Scopus (Elsevier) bases. The policosanol spelling variants, with "y" or "i", and suffix variations “ultrasonic” or “ultrasound” were considered. The Ibero-American countries surveyed (with available databases) are, in alphabetical order of acronyms: AR - Argentina, BR - Brazil, CL - Chile, CO - Colombia, CR - Cota Rica, CU - Cuba, DO - Dominican Republic, EC - Ecuador, ES - Spain, GT - Guatemala, HN - Honduras, MX - Mexico, NI - Nicaragua, PA - Panama, PE - Peru, PT - Portugal, SV - El Salvador, UY - Uruguay. The data from Bolivia, Haiti, Paraguay and Venezuela are unavailable.
