Delimitation of Reinforced Action Areas (ZAR) in Gold Rating

Strengthened Action Areas (RAAs) of the Regional Action Programme (PAR) to protect water from the pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin. European Directive 91/676/EEC of 12 December 1991, known as the Nitrates Directive, aims to protect water against pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin. It gave rise, in France, to four generations of departmental action programmes applicable to areas identified as vulnerable. In order to improve the effectiveness of French regulations and to respond to complaints from the European Commission, the the system for drawing up and implementing the action programmes is evolving today, in accordance with the decree No 2011-1257 of 10 October 2011, towards a national action programme (interministerial decree of 19 December) 2011, as amended by the inter-ministerial decree of 23 October 2013), supplemented by a regional action programme
