They are water tanks that fulfill the function of regulating water demands throughout the island. Currently there is a capacity of 2 793 710 m³ divided into 11 rafts, the most voluminous being that of the Lagoon of Barlovento. These rafts feed on water from nascents, wells, galleries, taps and direct precipitation.
