Whole-genome re-sequencing of barley cultivar Chikurin Ibaraki 1

Barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV) and barley mild mosaic virus (BaMMV) cause the yellow mosaic diseases, which are transmitted by soil-borne plasmodiophorid Polymyxa graminis that can be effectively controlled by genetic resistance. In previous studies, the BaMMV recessive resistance gene rym15 derived from a Japanese cultivar Chikurin Ibaraki 1, was mapped on short arm of chromosome 6H. In order to obtain the whole genome sequencing data of resistance donor line Chikurin Ibaraki 1, a set of 300 seeds of resistance parental line Chikurin Ibaraki 1 was sent to France. The lyophilized DNA samples was sent to the Sequencing center of the Kiel University for PacBio SMRT sequencing. PacBio HiFi were assembled with hifiasm.
