Elementary water body sections of watercourse – Metropolis – Version Reporting 2016

The elementary section of watercourse body allows two objectives to be met. First, to detail the composition of the body of watercourses in elementary sections located on the surface or underground (in the same way as the BDCarthage). The geometry of the theme Surface water mass/Rivières is then the aggregation of the elementary sections that compose it. It also makes it possible to ensure the continuity of the network of water bodies by creating fictitious sections crossing bodies of water body of water, coastal or transition but also by making it possible to ensure the connection of water bodies through tributaries present in the river network of the BDCarthage but not identified as part of a body of water according to the rules for the establishment of the water body repository. If this section corresponds to an elemental section present in the BDCarthage, this element will therefore inherit the characteristics of the elemental hydrographic section in question.
