DNA metabarcoding analysis of intestinal contents of freshwater Pao spp. from the Mekong River, Cambodia

This project investigates the dietary composition of freshwater pufferfish (Pao sp. A and Pao sp. B) collected from the Mekong River watershed in Kratie Province, Cambodia. Intestinal contents were analyzed using Illumina paired-end sequencing targeting the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene to characterize prey assemblages and explore trophic interactions.
