Published data were used in a project focused on identifying metabolically active bacterial and fungal species in the air of archives. The sampling was carried out in the year 2021. Samples were collected in two archives in the Czech Republic, State Regional Archive Trebon and Moravian Provincial Archive in Brno. To collect air samples, 3,000 litres of air were collected on PTFE fluorophore membranes using a MAS-100 Eco aeroscope, and at the same time, 750 litres of air were collected on various cultivation media.
