FKB Measures – Historical Data 2023

FKB Measures are part of the Common Map Database (FKB). FKB is a collection of datasets that form a central part of the basic map. See the metadata entry for Common Map Database for more info. FKB-Measures shall contain objects (areas where development takes place) that have been sought/approved through case processing in the municipality or other public authorities. This information shows where changes are taking place in the terrain and can therefore be used as metadata for the other FKB data sets. In addition, the goal is that the data in FKB-Measures are used to speed up the update of the basic map when the development is completed. For the building types, the geometry is automatically transferred to FKB Building when the building is completed (if data of better quality are not available). Objects that have been completed and registered in the base map are marked as mapped (KARTREG 2) in the action base, but will normally not be deleted so that the history in FKB Measures is available. FKB data is non-sensistic and open data. The FKB data is financed through the Geovekst collaboration, or the municipalities alone for municipalities that are outside Geovekst. The FKB data is freely available to Norway digitally and can be downloaded through the download solution at Geonorge. Private operators must purchase access to the data through a retailer.
