Advanced Health Indicator IAS® — SYNDROME GRIPPAL

The objective of the Advanced Health Index (IAS®) “Influenza Syndrome” is to contribute to the surveillance of influenza syndromes in France by providing additional information to that of the Sentinelles network. This indicator has been validated by comparison with data from the Sentinelles network. At the national level, the cross-correlation with the Sentinel network is strong (0.88). This correlation validates the relevance of IAS®. The IAS® is calculated daily using a time smoothing method: the information of the previous seven days and the following 7 days is taken into account when calculating the value of a given day. This means that the index of a D-day can change slightly to D+ 7. Data from consumer outputs from the CELTIPHARM network.
