Images and Text from an Evaluation at Rothwell Road, Desborough, Northamptonshire, November 2021

This collection consists of images and text from an evaluation by MOLA Northampton at Rothwell Road, Desborough, Northamptonshire, in November 2021. The evaluation trenches in Fields 1-5 revealed limited archaeological remains, comprising elements of a medieval field system, furrows, post-medieval ditches, with two much broader features, a possible trackway and a paleochannel. Land drains, recent pipe trenches and large areas of modern disturbance were also identified. The trenches in Field 6 produced little remains, and Field 7 was not investigated.
