1) Sample_heat_patients.csv This dataset was prepared for a case-crossover analysis investigating the short-term association between environmental exposures and acute health events (Sample dataset) Daily environmental exposure variables have been joined to both case and control dates based on the patient’s residential location and calendar date. These exposures include meteorological measures (e.g., temperature, heat index, wet bulb globe temperature) and air pollution metrics (e.g., PM₂.₅, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and black carbon), summarized as daily means and maxima or as daytime averages. The data are structured to support conditional regression–based case-crossover analyses in which each patient serves as their own control, thereby adjusting for time-invariant individual characteristics. 2) Wisconsin_Summer_2018_2023_added_NBC.csv This dataset contains county-level daily environmental exposure data for the state of Wisconsin covering the summer seasons from 2018 to 2023. Each record represents a single county–day observation and includes meteorological variables (e.g., ambient temperature, heat index, wet bulb globe temperature) and air pollution metrics (e.g., PM₂.₅, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and black carbon–related indicators). Exposure values are summarized as daily means, daily maxima, or daytime averages, depending on the variable. The dataset is designed to support epidemiologic analyses of short-term exposure effects, including linkage to individual-level health data in time-stratified case-crossover or related study designs.
