Soil species map 2006

The soil species map shows the location of the peatlands and mineral soils in the Netherlands. In peat soils, within 40 cm-mv. more than 40 cm peat occurs in the bottom profile. The peat soils are not further subdivided. In the mineral soils, up to 80 cm-m.m. of mineral material (sand, clay or clay) occurs in the soil profile. For the mineral soils a further division has been made according to the composition and texture of the construction.
