Genomic Characterization of Metal-Selected Environmental Bacteria with Antibiotic Resistance

This project investigates the relationship between heavy metal tolerance and antibiotic resistance in environmental bacteria. Isolates recovered from metal-amended media were phenotypically tested against multiple antibiotics, and whole-genome sequencing was performed to identify antimicrobial and metal resistance determinants and explore potential mechanisms of co-selection.
