Whole genome sequencing data of common warthog and desert warthogs

This dataset contains whole genome sequencing data of 55 samples from the Phacochoerus genus, 49 of them are common warthog (P. africanus) and 6 desert warthog (P. aethiopicus). Of those, 6 are sequenced to high depth (~17X) and the rest to low depht (~3X). Some of the samples were found to be duplicates or discarded due to other technical issues, leaving a final dataset of 35 common warthog and 4 desert warthogs. See the publication for details.The study aimed at inferring the population structure, genetic diversity and recent evolutionary history of the Phacochoerus genus, with special focus on the divergence and gene flow between its two species.
