This feature layer view represents the housing opportunity site inventories prepared by each of the Bay Area's 101 cities and nine counties as part of the 2007-2014 Regional Housing Need Assessment (RHNA) housing element cycle. The view contains 21,226 parcels the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) was able to match from the total list of 22,086 parcels the region's jurisdictions identified to contain their RHNA housing allocations. City and county housing element sites matched, by county, are: Alameda County - 2,572 of 2,616 (98%), Contra Costa County - 3,837 of 3,866 (99%), Marin County - 596 of 610 (98%), Napa County - 675 of 681 (99%), San Francisco - 4,595 of 5,185 (89%), San Mateo County - 4,381 of 4,430 (99%), Santa Clara County - 2,212 of 2,245 (99%), Solano County - 577 of 597 (97%), and Sonoma County - 1,781 of 1,856 (96%). Note: - Although jurisdictions have identified these sites as potential locations for the development of new housing, it does not mean that development is either imminent or will ever occur at these locations. In addition, all projects proposed for these sites are subject to the full notification and review process followed by the jurisdiction where they are located. - The information in the attribute table was filled in to the extent that it was provided by the jurisdiction.
