Halobacteriovorax sp. BALOs9 Genome sequencing and assembly. Halobacteriovorax vibrionivorans strain:BL9

Halobacteriovorax is halophilic genus of the obligate bacterial predators, Bdellovibrio and like organisms (BALOs). One type strain and four non-type strain genomes have been published so far from the genus Halobacteriovorax. The 16S rDNA sequence of BALOs 9 is 92.4% identical to that of Halobacteriovorax litoralis JS5T, followed by Halobacteriovorax marinus SJT (90.78%), which indicates that strain BALOs 9 is a new species of BALOs. BALOs9 and BALOs7 composed to a new Halobacteriovorax sp.
