A total number of 27 tissues including flowering and nonflowering vegetative and reproductive tissues of Bambusa oldhami were interrogated with RNA-Seq to generate more than 1.5 billion paired-end reads, which were assembled into 78,568 representatives with a respective average and N50 unigene length of 1056 bp and 657 bp, respectively.
