The goal of this experiment was to investigate the influence of cooperative relations on equality preferences. Experimental conditions were (1) presence / no presence of another person in the lab. (2) A priming (Scrambled Sentence Test) in which the experimental group should be primed towards cooperation with keywords. The inequality aversion was measured with a factorial survey. Within that module the respondents had to judge the justice of income of fictious persons persons and assign them a from their point of view just income. The experiments were realized in the winter term 2011/12 at Bielefeld university. Theoretical framework: Goal Framing Theory Purpose: The purpose of this study was to give insights to the influence that third persons have on the justice evaluations of respondents. Key Findings: Presence of other persons (interviewer) and priming towards cooperation lead to inequality aversion.
