Pollen, phytoliths, and macrofloral remains were examined from the Little
Buzz Site (48BKL467) to assist in explaining the site. The Little Buzz Site is
enigmatic, being composed of charcoal stains, one of which probably represents
a housepit, while others might represent hearths, possible housepits, or
scattered cultural remains. Archaeobotanical samples were examined to assist in
the identification of the structure or structures proper, as well as construction
materials. Pollen and phytolith samples were paired, while macrofloral samples
were occasionally collected from the same locations, but usually represent
separate locations.
