This was part of a study that employed stable isotope analysis to further investigate diet, to determine dietary overlap among native and non-native ant species occurring in natural ecosystems. We employed DNA metabarcoding techniques (cytochrome c oxidase subunit I) to identify gut contents of ant species found in natural ecosystems in New Zealand.
