资源简介:
The dataset includes sound level meter readings and audio files of medieval bells, recorded on site of five medieval churches in the Valdres region in Norway:
- Slidredomen church, five bells (SL01-SL05);
- Lomen church, two bells (LO1, LO2);
- Hegge church, two bells (HEG1, HEG2);
- Reinli church, one bell (RE01);
- Hedalen church, two bells (HED01, HED02).
We used a Cesva SC202 sound level meter (https://www.cesva.com/es/productos/sonometros/sc202/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3vO3BhCqARIsAEWblcB9vq9lnKbF8Fa8OF1C4ZaXOsBXxToVBDxMb1JbUXREgGY9DjVQH-QaAtUXEALw_wcB) and a Zoom H4n recorder.
Moreover, the dataset includes post processed recordings of bell swings that we further used for the tonal analysis.
Additionally, the dataset includes a table with the readings of the first five partials for each bell based on the tonal analysis in the freely available Wavanal software (https://www.hibberts.co.uk/wavanal/).
The data were collected as part of the MSCA postdoctoral project "Aural Culture: Decoding the Sacred Soundscapes of Medieval Europe" (acronym: CULT-AURAL, Grant Agreement ID: 101064323). Zorana Dordevic conducted fieldwork in August 2024; Lidia Alvarez-Morales and Zorana Dordevic analyzed acoustic data.
