HPX mice show enhanced re-entrainment after jet lag; it isimportant to investigate whether HPX affects gene expression in the SCN, the center of the circadian clock. We used microarrays to study the effects of HPX on gene expression in the SCN. SCN tissue samples obtained with laser microdissection technique from 10 animals at ZT2 and 10 animals at ZT14 were pooled together into TRIzol reagent (Thermo Fisher Scientific).
