Marmor Numidicum: Karten

Die begleitend zur Arbeit vorgelegten zwölf Verwendungs- und Distributionskarten stellen die periodisch aufgebaute Verbreitung des *marmor Numidicum* im Mittelmeerraum dar, welche auf Grundlage der Fundorte zusammengestellt wurde. Die jeweilige Legende informiert über die Verwendung des Marmors in unterschiedlichen Gattungen und die jeweilige Anzahl dieser Nutzung innerhalb eines Untersuchungshorizontes. Die Karten bilden damit die Verbreitung und das Einsatzspektrums des *marmor Numidicum* für die vier Untersuchungshorizonte ab und ergänzen die jeweiligen Untersuchungskapitel. Einzelne Detailkarten zu Simitthus, Rom, Pompeji, Herculaneum und Karthago ergänzen je nach Materialgrundlage die Gesamtkarten des Mittelmeerraumes in einzelnen Untersuchungshorizonten.
Die Legende beinhaltet die Gattungen Paviment, Architektur (auch einzelne Architekturglieder), Wandinkrustation, Monument (Theater und Odeion), Skulptur, Inschrift. Die doppelte Nennung von Paviment/Wandinkrustation bezieht sich in allen Fällen auf Plattenfragmente, die weder aufgrund ihres Kontextes noch auf Basis ihres Erscheinungsbildes sicher einer der beiden Gattungen zugeordnet werden können.

*The twelve utilisation and distribution maps accompanying the study show the periodic distribution of marmor Numidicum in the Mediterranean region, which was compiled on the basis of the sites. The respective legend provides information on the use of the marble in different genera and the respective number of these uses within a study horizon. The maps illustrate the distribution and range of use of marmor Numidicum for the four study horizons and supplement the respective study chapters. Individual detailed maps of Simitthus, Rome, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Carthage supplement the overall maps of the Mediterranean region in individual study horizons, depending on the material basis.
The legend includes the genres paviment, architecture (including individual architectural elements), wall incrustation, monument (theatre and odeion), sculpture and inscription. The double mention of paviment/wall incrustation refers in all cases to slab fragments that cannot be assigned to either genre with certainty, either on the basis of their context or their appearance.*
