资源简介:

This is a companion dataset to the paper: Krauskopf et al. (2026) Trends in Extreme Day-to-Day Temperature Differences Across the Northern Extratropics. Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology. doi: 10.1175/JAMC-D-26-0032.1 TMAX_JJA_ENSMEAN.txt refers to the extreme summer temperature rises and drops of daily maximum 2m temperature. TMIN_DJF_ENSMEAN.txt refers to the extreme winter temperature rises and drops of daily minimum 2m temperature. Datasets are organised as follows: Columns contain individual grid points numbered 1 to 4176, and rows contain years and methods, separated for rises and drops. RISES_A_1951 indicates the maximum day‑to‑day rise, calculated using method A, for the year 1951. Explanations for methods A through D can be found in the file Krauskopfetal_methods.txt, and the coordinates of individual grid points are provided in the file Krauskopfetal_gpcoordinates.txt. Data were calculated from ERA5 ensemble mean values downloaded from ERA5 post-processed daily statistics from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) Climate Data Store: http://doi.org/10.24381/cds.4991cf48
