Isolate from Rhinoceros unicornis isolated from abscess located in left mandible and iliac artery of right limb. The rhinoceros died 2.5 weeks after the initial onset of symptoms. In general, streptococcal infections are described as a cause of infections and mortality in rhinoceros often related to stress. Minimization of stress should be considered as an important measure to prevent streptococcal infections.
