Abstract—This research seeks to explore the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED) using a systematic review method. From an initial number of 290 studies discovered by the authors, 36 were selected as primary references. The study identifies three main aspects: the challenges of AI implementation, the AI tools used in education, and the importance of applying AI in the education sector. Through a comprehensive analysis, the study discovered that while AI provides advantages such as individualized learning, automated learning evaluations, and enhanced efficiency, obstacles persist, including algorithmic bias, ethical issues, and limited pedagogical insight. Furthermore, the study highlights the necessity of addressing these challenges by developing a balanced and inclusive pedagogical approach to implanting AI. By integrating AI effectively into educational practices, institutions can enhance student engagement, optimize learning experiences, and promote equitable access to quality education and learning. This study adds to current debates about how AI is influencing the future of education.
