These registers record the admission of patients to Stockton Hospital.The registers detail for each patient: date of last previous admission (if any); number in register; number of admission for the year; date of admission; name; gender; age; social condition; number of children; occupation; nativity; residence; religion; how sent; date of the medical certificate and by whom signed; form of mental disorder; supposed cause of insanity; insane relations; previous attacks; duration of existing attack; age at first attack; date of discharge; recovered/relieved/not improved/died; time in hospital; and observations, bodily disorder, suicidal etc.Though admissions cover the period 1910 to 16 January 1951 the register includes later annotations (such as discharge dates) up to 2 October 1963 to admission register entries made between 1910 and 1951.Entries are arranged chronologically by date of admission.
