Project for the implementation of the Dragons of the Upper Zone of the Lagoa de Óbidos: Dredging mechanism

Dredging is carried out using a cutting, suction and repulsion dredger (DCSR), by successive advances ensured by fixing to the bottom with the stern stakes, which rise by hydraulic jacks and drop by gravity, thus ensuring the fixation. Around these piles, the dredger describes rotations in both directions, directly and inversely, disaggregating the sediments hydraulically or mechanically and sucking them into the body of a repulsive pump that conveys them, by floating, submerged and terrestrial pipes, to the place of deposition at sea, by means of a repulsion arc method (Rainbow).
