Cardiotocography dataset (n=2,126) with ordinal fetal health and continuous ASTV outcomes, plus 21 clinical predictors. After standardization, a Gaussian copula (logit/Weibull margins) was fitted, followed by post‑estimation elastic net shrinkage via proximal mapping. The copula significantly improved fit over independence, and the elastic net reduced non‑zero coefficients by 37.5%, identifying prolonged decelerations and accelerations as key predictors.
