National human footprint maps for Peru and Ecuador

Human Footprint (HF) maps score spatial input datasets of human pressures according to their influence and integrate them into a unique spatial index to assess ecosystem naturalness. In this dataset of National HF maps for Peru and Ecuador, we considered the pressures of built environments, land cover (agriculture, pasture, tree plantations), roads and railways, population density, electrical infrastructure, oil and gas, and mining. The dataset includes National HF maps and corresponding pressure rasters for SDG15 reporting in Peru (2012 through 2021) and Ecuador (2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022). Additionally, we provide other HF versions created for comparison purposes to assess characteristics for SDG reporting (year 2018 for Official and Multitemporal HF).
