The school is a light-colored clapboard building with a tall spire on top and large rectangular windows around the outside. In the distance at right is a cluster of large farm buildings, including a windmill. The old school was built in the 1880s in old Palmdale, about two miles east of present Palmdale. The building was restored and later moved to the Gold Camp at Tropico Mine in Rosamond.
