Data Analysis: Allelopathy causes indirect ecological and evolutionary effects in a duckweed, aphid, and cyanotoxin model system

Data were collected from exposure studies of duckweeds to microcystin and subsequent population dynamics after aphid herbivore introduction. Exposures lasted for a duration of 16 days with herbivore introduction occurring two days after exposures began. Populations were counted throughout. At the conclusion of experiments, population size traits (surface area and biomass) and pigments (chlorophyll and anthocyanin) were collected from plants. We collected genetic samples from both populations. The metadata file contains descriptions of each data item and its allowable variables. R code for the submission is provided. Information notes which files are needed to analyze the ecological and evolutionary data respectively. The variable "my_packages" contains all packages required to run code ("ggplot2", "lme4", "piecewiseSEM", "semEff", "multcompView", "dplyr", "tidyr", "deSolve", "emmeans", "sjPlot", "MuMIn", "ggbiplot"). All analyses were completed using RStudio (v. 2024.04.2+764).
